Everton eye initial loan deal for Gabriel Barbosa

According to a report from Italian news outlet TMW, Everton are looking at signing Gabriel Barbosa from Inter Milan on an initial loan deal in January.

The striker has been linked with a move to Goodison Park in previous windows and these rumours have resurfaced ahead of January.

The proposed deal for the Brazilian striker would be a loan move with an option to buy and reports say that Everton have already been in contact with Inter Milan over a transfer.

Gabriel started to make a name for himself in the top-flight of Brazilian football and soon adopted the nickname ‘Gabigol’, following his consistency goalscoring exploits.

He joined Inter two years ago for €30 million but has since flattered to deceive at San Siro.

The forward is currently on loan at Santos, but after his temporary spell ends, the Italian side reportedly want to sell him straight away, with no loan deal considered, and they are prepared to slash his price to €15m to get him off their books.
