How Everton’s team could look on the opening day of next season

Everton were linked with a mountain of players throughout the January transfer window and the weeks leading up to it, however, they only ended up signing one player, 17-year Carlisle defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

Between now and the end of the summer transfer window, a similar amount of players will likely see their names loosely drawn in connection to Everton, as Carlo Ancelotti looks to take his side back into Europe.

Speculation has already seen Everton linked with a vast swathe of former Ancelotti players since he signed on as manager of the club in mid-December.

Thankfully, that means Everton have been linked with some fantastic players, as Ancelotti’s rich and storied career has seen him rub shoulders with a number of great footballers, many of whom could potentially end up at Goodison Park next season if the stars align.

As such, we’ve taken a look at how Everton *could* line-up next season, and that doesn’t by any means say how we predict Everton will actually line-up.
