- Everton have been linked with enough players to fill two squads.
- From Premier League stars to European talents, rumours keep growing.
- David Moyes faces crucial transfer decisions ahead of a pivotal summer.
You have to laugh. If Everton signed every player they were linked with during May, David Moyes would not just need a bigger squad list; he would need a second Finch Farm.
With the 2025/26 season done and dusted, the rumour mill has already gone into overdrive. From ambitious Premier League names to clever overseas options and possible reunion deals, Everton have been linked with players across almost every area of the pitch.
The theme has been clear: Moyes wants more quality, more depth and more proven Premier League know-how.
Jack Grealish’s future has naturally dominated plenty of discussion after his loan spell, while John Stones has again been linked with a romantic return to the Blues. Ben White has also been mentioned, although any deal for the Arsenal defender would surely be difficult.
At full-back, Everton have been linked with several options. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tomas Soucek have both been mentioned as possible West Ham targets, while Neco Williams, El Hadji Malick Diouf and Georgios Vagiannidis have also appeared in reports. Jayden Oosterwolde and Diego Leite add further defensive intrigue.
Lots of names; limited reality
In midfield, Gabriel Sara, Issa Doumbia and Federico Gatti have all been named in May reports, suggesting Everton are exploring different routes to add physicality and technical quality.
Further forward, the list is even longer. Ivan Toney, Artem Dovbyk, Taty Castellanos, Alexander Sorloth and Santiago Castro have all been linked as Everton look for more firepower. Jamie Leweling, Dario Osorio, Zuriko Davitashvili, Abdul Fatawu and Jarrod Bowen would each offer different qualities in wide areas.
There are also younger or more opportunistic names, including Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Radu Dragusin and Tyrique George on a permanent deal, whose future remains one to watch.
Of course, supporters know how this works. Not every rumour carries the same weight, and not every name will survive too much scrutiny. But after years of caution, austerity and frustration, it is refreshing to see Everton being spoken about with ambition again.
Now the challenge is simple: turn the right links into the right signings.
