Former Swansea boss Garry Monk thinks Roberto Martinez has to win the F.A Cup in order to save his job as Everton manager.
The Catalonian has been facing more and more pressure in recent weeks, with a large portion of the Everton fanbase wanting him to be relieved of his duties.
Monk, who was sacked as manager of Swansea earlier in the season, played under Martinez for the Welsh club and when asked if his former boss needed to win the F.A Cup, he told talkSPORT:
Of course,
As a manager in those situations you need a strong end to the season.
The cup’s a big, big target for them now – having a strong finish will dampen down the talk (of his sacking).

Everton currently lie in 12th in the Premier League and have one of the worst home records in European football, but Monk thinks Martinez can lead Everton forward:
Roberto’s a very good manager, he’ll be working tirelessly for Everton and he’s a good man for the job.
Everton face Manchester United in the F.A Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium next Saturday, but they still have a tough home game against Southampton and the small matter of the Merseyside Derby at Anfield to get through before they grace the Wembley turf.
