International winger would consider Everton switch this summer

PSV Eindhoven and Mexico winger Hirving Lozano says he would consider a move to Everton should there be interest from the Toffees.

However, ESPN journalist Tom Marshall reports that the 22-year-old’s main focus is currently the World Cup.

Lozano only moved to Holland last summer, in a move that was made possible by then PSV technical director Marcel Brands.

Earlier this month, Brands joined the Toffees to replace Steve Walsh as director of football, sparking rumours that he could once again attempt to sign the player.

Lozano has enjoyed an extremely successful debut season with PSV, scoring 17 goals and providing eight assists from out wide in the Eredivisie.

His form has also reportedly alerted other European clubs, and the player could be one to watch in next month’s World Cup in Russia.

The Toffees are of course managerless at the time of writing, with Sam Allardyce being sacked last week despite leading the club to eighth in the Premier League table.

Lozano would provide competition for the likes of Yannick Bolasie, Theo Walcott, Ademola Lookman and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

matchday.
