Harry Kane set to return for Tottenham’s clash with Everton

Everton will have been hoping to see Harry Kane on substitutes’ bench this weekend, but that won’t be the case.

Kane didn’t start Tottenham’s 2-0 EFL Cup win over rivals Arsenal in midweek, after suffering from flu.

The England captain did come off the bench to assist Dele Alli for the second goal of the game, however, suggesting he wasn’t too under the weather.

He is now expected to start on Sunday afternoon, as the Blues welcome Spurs to Goodison Park.

Marco Silva’s side are searching for a first victory this month, having not won in their last four outings.

Since beating Cardiff 1-0 on November 24th, Everton have lost in heartbreaking fashion to Liverpool, drawn with Newcastle and Watford, and been beaten 3-1 by champions Manchester City.

Kane will be a key figure in the game, as the hosts aim to get back on track and the visitors look to stay in touch with Liverpool and City.

matchday.
