Fulham (A): Everton Player Ratings

Regardless of how well the last few games have gone, this defeat negates all of the good work Mr Silva has done. A defeat to an already relegated side on an embarrassing losing streak is unacceptable at any point in the season, but it is emphasised even more when we needed the three points to keep up the race for 7th on a day where our main competitors for that spot all fell short.

It wasn’t even a case of a relegated side going out in a blaze of glory either, Fulham weren’t good. That Everton side were just horrific in every aspect of the game. The midfield was muted, defence uncharacteristically shaky, and attack limp.

It was an awful day at the office, and it isn’t a one-off anymore. These pathetic performances against weak and vulnerable teams are the reason we will be a mid-table team for years to come.

matchday.
