Four Findings: Watford 1-0 Everton

There was a certain amount of anticipation leading up to the Watford and Everton match as former manager Marco Silva returned to his old stomping ground.

However, it didn’t turn out how the manager would have hoped. Silva and Everton left Vicarage Road with zero points, something all too familiar with the Toffees on the road this season.

From team selection to tactics, Everton were all over the place. Pressure is now starting to build up against Silva as his men have only won three of their last 13 Premier League matches.

To make matters worse, on-loan central defender Kurt Zouma received a red card during the final minutes of the match. He is now set to miss the Cardiff City clash in two weeks.

Now closer to the relegation zone than to Chelsea in sixth place, Everton will have a tough road ahead.

Are there any positives that they could take from this match moving forward? Here are my four findings.

matchday.
