Everton v Burnley – Alex’s XI

As much as I doubt Mr Silva will be sacked anytime soon, it’s beginning to feel like a judgment period from the powers that be. Winnable games on the horizon follow a series of games that should have been won, and weren’t. There doesn’t seem to be any sign of progression, which is the real concern. Everyone knows that Everton Football Club is still a disaster, but there has to be tangible progress out of the half-decade long slump we have been in, and there isn’t anything to suggest that we seem to be heading in the right direction.

Anyway, Turf Moor is a ground where we have seen rare away success, and that needs to be replicated tomorrow lest the fury continue among the stands. But more than just tomorrow, there needs to be a change of plan on the pitch. The formation isn’t working, the players are not gelling, the manager doesn’t have a plan beyond the initial thirty minutes, and the fans are not interested.

The first thing that needs to change is the personnel, so here we are:

matchday.
