Everton 4-2 Lincoln – Everton Player Ratings

A very odd fixture overall but the Blues are through and that’s all that matters. Lincoln put on a good showing that in the end just wasn’t enough, however it did lead to an excellent game with plenty of goals in the second 45.

Lucas Digne proved once again that he is one of, if not the absolute best left-back on the planet. An absolutely stunning performance by the Frenchman was complemented by some impressive showings from Alex Iwobi, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Moise Kean and Fabian Delph.

Mr Silva was finally brave enough to put his new signings out onto the pitch and they paid him back tremendously, as well as giving him a huge selection headache for the weekend. Bernard, Alex Iwobi and Gylfi Sigurdsson have to occupy two spots and Fabian Delph simply must retain his place in midfield.

A high-octane 90 minutes with shaky defensive showings, but at the same time some confidence building attacking displays.

matchday.
