Reports emerging from Brazil yesterday suggested that Everton had contacted ex-Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa.
The 60-year-old has been out of management since August after resigning from Marseille due to a falling out, and it was reported that Everton had spoken to him about the possibility of taking over from Roberto Martinez.
However, a report today from Greg O’Keeffe of the Liverpool Echo suggests that the story from Goal Brazil is incorrect and that the Toffees have not contacted the Argentinan at all.

Speculation about Roberto Martinez’s future is rife amidst fan unrest that led to a ‘Martinez Out’ banner being unveiled in the away end as Everton drew with Watford at the weekend, so the news that the Blues have not contacted Bielsa will disappoint some sections of the Everton fan base.
According to O’Keeffe, the story linking Bielsa with a move to Merseyside was actually put out there by people close to the former Marseille boss.
