Everton are targeting Morrocan international Zouhair Feddal but face competition from Crystal Palace, Watford and West Brom, according to the Daily Mail.
The 6ft 3ins defender has made 13 international appearances but has also impressed in La Liga in what has been an incredibly disappointing season for Levante. The club currently sit bottom of the Spanish league and have only amassed 24 points in 30 games this season leaving them looking likely to be relegated.
Fortunately for the Blues, Feddal is out of contract in the summer and will be able to join the Blues on a free transfer.
According to the report, the defender is a versatile centre-back who can also play positions such as left-back and in defensive midfield, a trait that Everton manager Roberto Martinez prefers in his players.
The Catalonian is also on the look out for defensive reinforcement with the Blues looking less than solid at the back this season. In all top five league’s, Everton have conceded the second most amount of goals at home, only Troyes who sit bottom of Ligue 1 have conceded more. Bryan Oviedo and John Stones are also said to be attracting attention which would leave Roberto Martinez having to find replacement’s and Zouhair could be one of them.
The 27-year-old has made 82 professional appearances and has played at clubs such as Espanyol, Palermo and Parma.
