- Everton will play the final game of the season against Tottenham
- Tottenham Hotspur is battling relegation, as a draw will secure safety
- David Moyes has hinted that he will not field a weakened side against Tottenham
Everton travel to Tottenham on Sunday for the final game of the season.
Spurs need a point to secure their Premier League status, but a defeat would mean they have to rely on West Ham’s result against Leeds, who are currently 18th in the table. Tottenham have survival in their own hands this weekend and welcome an Everton side who missed out on Europe after a disappointing run of six games without a win.
Form and head-to-head
Tottenham have just two wins from 18 Premier League home games this season. They have collected only 12 points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the joint-lowest total in the league alongside Burnley. They are currently winless in 10 top-flight home matches (D4 L6).
Their recent form: L, D, W, W, D, L
Everton have collected 26 of their 49 points away from home in 2025-26, which is the same number as Spurs have done away from home.

The reverse fixture in October ended 3-0 to Spurs and they will be aiming to complete their first Premier League double over Everton since 2017-18.
Everton have only won one of their last 16 top-flight away games against Tottenham (D4 L11). A draw should be enough for Tottenham to cement their place in the top flight for another season.
Team news
Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi will be without several key players. Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert, Mohammed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Cristian Romero and Ben Davies are all ruled out. Dominic Solanke faces a late fitness check while Djed Spence is expected to feature after an injury scare against Chelsea.
For Everton, Jarrad Branthwaite (hamstring) and Jack Grealish (foot) remain out. Idrissa Gana Gueye is 50-50 as he has resumed individual training and will be a late call, as confirmed by David Moyes in the team news.
Key players and Moyes on West Ham
Richarlison is Tottenham’s top scorer with eleven league goals, while Mathys Tel has four league goals this season for Tottenham. For Everton, Beto has nine league goals and is the top scorer for Everton. Iliman Ndiaye has six goals and three assists. He has been a bit rusty lately, but will be a key player before heading to the World Cup with Senegal.
Asked about West Ham’s survival fight, Moyes did not hide his feelings. “I’d love to keep West Ham in the league if I can do. But it’s more important I get Everton that top-finish and we get a few more million pounds because of our league position.”
David Moyes confirmed he will not field a weakened side. “Whether it will only be a top-half finish or whether it be something else you never know, we’re going to go there and try to win it. I don’t see it any other way. I’m not turning up with a team of kids to see what they can do. They’ve had that opportunity to show me if I think they’re ready or not.”
Predicted Everton starting line-up
Pickford, O’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko, Garner, Iroegbunam, Rohl, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye, Beto.
