Wayne Rooney is close to signing a deal which, will see him join DC United (currently bottom of the MLS) for an estimated fee of £12.5 million according to reports by The Dailymail.
The former Manchester United captain is on the verge of a shock move to the MLS after his representatives travelled to Washington DC to hold talks with the club.
The Dailymail are reporting that Paul Stretford, Wayne Rooney’s agent, is negotiating a deal which, will see Rooney playing for DC United until the end of the 2020 MLS season.
England’s all-time top goalscorer informed members of the Everton Hierarchy of his decision to accept an offer that will see him become a DC United player, when the MLS transfer window officially opens on July 10th.

Wayne Rooney made the decision to leave the club after becoming disillusioned with manager Sam Allardyce and his teams season long form. Rooney was played mainly as a midfielder, a decision that has aggravated the lifelong Everton fan.
