Benfica winger and Watford loanee Andre Carrillo may not remain with the Hornets on a permanent basis next season, according to the Watford Observer, which opens up a potential move to Everton this summer.
Carrillo joined Watford last summer on a season-long loan, with the option to make the deal permanent. Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira had also previously come out and claimed that he expected the move to go through at the end of the season.
However, reports now suggest that this move could be off, with the Peruvian having slipped down the pecking order at Vicarage Road.

Carrillo was a regular starter under previous Watford manager Marco Silva, but the 26-year old hasn’t started a Premier League game since Silva was sacked by the club in January, with new boss Javi Gracia preferring Richarlison and former Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu on the flanks.
Although several dominos would have to fall into place before this would be any concern of Everton’s, it does open up the potential for a transfer to take place.
Before appointing Sam Allardyce after sacking Ronald Koeman in November, Everton had approached Silva with a proposal to take over the reigns at Goodison Park.

According to The Times, Silva had discussed a potential Everton switch with Carrillo, stating his desire to bring the Peru international with him to Merseyside – a move Carrillo was keen on.
With Allardyce’s future with the Toffees coming under increasing scrutiny, the Daily Star exclusively revealed that Everton owner Farhad Moshiri is already planning for life after Allardyce, lining up four potential targets; Luis Enrique, Diego Simeone, Paulo Fonseca and Marco Silva.
Enrique and Silva are both currently without a club, and while Enrique would be an extremely optimistic option to approach, Silva seems like the most obvious candidate, should Moshiri decide to cut Allardyce’s contract short at the end of the season.
If he does so, Silva could well look to make Carrillo his first signing as Everton boss.
