Watford are set to beat Everton to the signing of Bologna left-back Adam Masina, according to reports in Italy.
The Toffees were linked with a move to hijack Watford’s deal to sign the player earlier on this week but it seems a transfer to Vicarage Road is on the cards for Masina.
Everton boss Marco Silva is likely to keep the faith in Leighton Baines as his first-choice left-back next season but it seems the new man is after some cover in the defensive department.

Masina is set to sign for Watford in the coming days for a fee worth €8 million along with additional bonuses.
The defender, who started 33 Serie A matches for Bologna last season, has attracted plenty of interest in recent times and a move to the Premier League is now on the cards.
Everton will be forced to look elsewhere if they are to continue pursuing added depth at left-back, with Masina seemingly Watford-bound.
