Everton academy product Lewis Dobbin has shown a touch of class on social media as he took the time out to make the day of two lucky Toffees.
The Stoke-born 18-year-old has been a part of the Everton setup since the age of 11 and is increasingly making a name for himself within the Toffees’ academy.
The centre-forward was promoted from the under-18s to the under-23s ahead of this season, having scored 14 goals and 11 assists in just 31 under-18 Premier League appearances last season.
Understandably, promotion within the club’s youth setup is a natural progression pathway for a prolific and productive youngster – and Dobbin is continuing to shine.
Dobbin continued to perform for the young Blues as they racked up a 6-1 friendly win at National League North side Bradford Park Avenue on Wednesday night.
The youngster again found himself on the scoresheet for David Unsworth’s side, with his strike partner in Tom Cannon also netting.
On top of his extra goal, Dobbin has scored successive hat-tricks in friendly wins over Warrington Rylands and Guiseley.
Manager David Unsworth was full of praise for the squad’s recent form, buoyed by Dobbin’s indomitable confidence in front of goal:
“We’ve changed our shape this season and we want to play in a certain way,” he claimed on the club’s website.
“I’ve been really impressed with how the lads have taken to that.
“Some of the football has been scintillating, it really has.”
However, Dobbin took the time after his most recent goal to sign the shirts of two Evertonians post-match, with the delighted parent of the two young Toffees sharing his selfless gesture on Twitter.

Dobbin has the look of a class act on and off the pitch.
With such an impressive free-flowing tally of goals and the thoughtfulness to take time out to sign shirts, Dobbin cuts an impressive and exciting young figure.
