Tottenham are reportedly ready to offer Ajax £54 million for Everton target David Neres – but should the Toffees target the Brazilian over Wilfried Zaha?
According to Italian publication Calcio Mercato, cited by the Daily Star, Spurs will make a move for the winger if they fail in their pursuit of both Juventus’ Paulo Dybala and Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso.
Everton themselves have been heavily linked with the talented 22-year-old this summer, however, it appears as if they have now turned their attention to Crystal Palace’s Zaha.

Palace have reportedly turned down Everton’s £52 million bid for the Ivorian, so who would be the better signing?
Zaha has plenty of Premier League experience and has proven he can be a star at the top level.
At 26, Zaha is in his prime, so the Toffees would be buying a player who is at the top of his game.
On the other hand, Neres would be a shrewd purchase, with the youngster having the ability to improve on his current impressive game over the coming years.
The Brazilian scored 12 times and provided 15 assists in 50 appearances for Ajax last season, helping the Dutch giants to the Champions League semi-final.
Signing Neres would be a risk due to the player having no previous Premier League experience, however, it could be a more sensible signing.
Neres already has experience in Europe, something Everton are desperate to bring to Goodison Park in the future.
