Everton midfielder Tom Davies has admitted that he is eager to improve under new manager Marco Silva and wants to seize every first-team opportunity that he gets, according to a report on the official club website.
The Academy graduate is very highly rated at Goodison Park and he broke through into the first team squad during the 2016-17 season.
Since then, the 20-year-old has been a constant figure in the first team, making 43 appearances for the Toffees last season.

Davies was required to come on as a 24th-minute substitute against Southampton last weekend after Morgan Schneiderlin picked up an injury and he was very impressive in the middle of the pitch.
The youngster believes that the healthy competition for a starting place in midfield is pushing him to continue improving as he hopes to cement his starting spot.
Davies said:
There’s big competition so for me when I get a chance I’ve got to take it. In training, I’m always trying to be at my best and trying to show how good I am. It’s only going to benefit me. This year I’m hoping to progress again and under the manager, I think I can do that.
The way the manager plays suits me and the way he wants me to play is how I like to play and see the game. He wants me to press, get forward, be a box-to-box midfielder.
That’s how I want to play, really, so it’s good to have that sort of freedom and role in the team. It’s something I’m looking forward to this year, developing into the player I want to be.
Silva wants his Everton side to play high-tempo attacking football and Davies is confident that he can impress the manager enough to start on a weekly basis.
Silva likes his team to have the ball and Davies is very assured in possession, as shown by his 88% pass accuracy against Southampton.
