In a report by the Liverpool Echo, a former businessman who was linked to Everton has revealed that the club have been in talks with multiple American investors in recent months.
Rumours have been ripe in recent weeks regarding a possible takeover at the Merseyside club, so this news may come as music to the fan’s ears.
Bill Kenwright held a series of talks with Sporting Club Director Rob Heineman back in August, but nothing surfaced as a result. Heineman, however, believes that other US-based investors are intrigued by the current project at Everton.

The multi-millionaire had some interesting words, in relation to a possible takeover in the near future.
There is tonnes of American interest. There is a huge trend of American owners getting involved and I could see another two to three American owners jumping in there over the next couple of years, for sure.
This season has seen a rise in fierce protests against the infamous Bill Kenwright, plane banners with angry messages flown by disgruntled fans on matchdays and the angst among Evertonians on Twitter grows by the day.
With news surfacing of American investors close to striking a deal with Crystal Palace, the majority of Evertonians will hope the Toffees can follow a similar path.
With a fantastic stadium like Goodison Park, as well as the monstrous amount of TV money on the horizon, it’s really no surprise that the club are seen as an attractive proposition.
