The most contentious VAR decisions made so far in the Premier League this season

VAR was the centre of attention yet again as Everton lost 3-2 at Brighton. Having not given a penalty for what looked like a clear foul on Richarlison in the first half of the game, VAR did award a penalty to Brighton when Michael Keane trod on Aaron Connolly’s foot. The Blues were leading 2-1 at the time and ended up losing the game 3-2. In ‘honour’ of the VAR-centric game at Brighton, we have decided to take a look back at some of VAR’s most controversial moments in the Premier League season so far…
