Swansea City have hit back at Everton’s pursuit of their star man Gylfi Sigurdsson by placing a £50million price tag on head, Wales Online reports.
It is suggested that Sigurdsson had already indicated that he would be keen on joining the Merseyside club, but Swansea will refuse to be bullied into letting the Icelandic international go.
Swansea have already knocked back a bid of around £40million from Leicester for Sigurdsson with Everton now leading the chase for the 27-year-old.
Sigurdsson has won Swansea’s player of the year award for the past two seasons and Everton are making their interest in the midfielder well known as they look to turn his head away from the Liberty Stadium.

The Toffees are unwilling to match the Welsh club’s valuation of the player and are yet to submit a formal bid for his services.
Everton have already made five summer signings and are keen to splash even more cash to lure Sigurdsson to Goodison, having already had offers worth over £2omillion rejected last summer and in January.
Sigurdsson played a key role in Swansea’s revival last season under Paul Clement as the Welsh club secured another year in the Premier League.
