The Evening Standard are reporting that Mauricio Pochettino is eager to try and lure Everton midfielder Ross Barkley away from Goodison Park for a fee rumoured to be around the £35 million mark.
Barkley has suffered from inconsistency this season and has been occasionally left out of Koeman’s starting XI this season, but the Wavertree-born midfielder came back with a bang last night, playing an important role in Everton’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal.

Barkley is out of contract next season at Goodison Park and according to reports is high up on a list of players Pochettino wants to see come in at White Hart Lane.
Ross is one of Everton’s most prodigious young talents, and despite his performances being inconsistent this season he still has the ability to become one of the best midfielders in the league.
Whether Barkley will want to leave Everton is another story, as Barkley is a boyhood blue and has come through the academy system at Everton.
Barkley has also made over 20 appearances for England, despite recently been left out of the England squad by Gareth Southgate. In the past, Barkley has been linked with both moves to Chelsea and Manchester United.
