Everton’s travelled to the south coast to play Southampton and managed to secure all three points.
In a great display, Roberto Martinez’s men defeated The Saints 3-0 thanks to two goals from Romelu Lukaku and one from Ross Barkley.
The Blues took a commanding 2-0 lead into halftime after Lukaku scored two goals from his first two shots on target.
Everton put the game beyond doubt, if there was any, in the 84th minute when Barkley curled a beautiful shot past Maarten Stekelenburg.
Martinez made one change from the side that drew with 2-2 with Watford last weekend, as Arouna Kone, the man who had an assist and a goal against the Hornets, came in for Kevin Mirallas, with the Belgian having to settle for a place on the substitutes bench.
Pre-game, a banner flew over St Marys with a message of “Kenwright & Co #timetogo”, showing that some fans are upset with how the club is being run off the pitch.
On the field, however, things couldn’t have gone much better for Everton.
