Marco Silva says he will support JP Gbamin throughout his injury process as he works his way back from a muscle injury which will keep him out for a minimum of eight weeks.
The Everton summer signing played in both of Everton’s opening two Premier League fixtures against Crystal Palace and Watford before, and having impressed in the latter game, it was unfortunate to see the 23-year old succumb to injury in training.

With the Ivorian seen as the ideal replacement for Idrissa Gueye, who has left Goodison Park for Paris Saint-Germain, it is an untimely injury for Gbamin who would ideally be settling into life in the Premier League in the opening months of the season.
However, talking to evertontv, Silva revealed that he will be there for the midfielder to guide him back to the first-team and through his spell on the sidelines. Silva said:
It is really important that we support JP. We have to be there in the bad moments.
When they [players] are in a good moment, you might just say ‘good morning’, and leave them to train and enjoy the day. That is enough.
But when they are in a not-so-good moment, they need all the support we can give them, starting from me as manager, to all the staff and their teammates.
It is a tough moment for him, not only the injury but because of the time he will be out the squad,
It is up to us to give him all the support we can, not just to recover him as fast as possible – but the daily support for him to be optimistic about the situation, even in a tough moment. I am 100 per cent involved in the process.

This is really fantastic to hear, and it really reinforces the image of Everton as a family club that cares about those associated with it.
Of course we’re all hoping that the versatile midfielder comes back from injury as soon as possible, but it is hugely positive to see the club’s manager taking care to show his injured players the support that will hopefully be a huge boost to them.
