Everton manager Marco Silva has revealed that he was pleased with wingers Ademola Lookman and Bernard during the Carabao Cup defeat against Southampton.
The Toffees crashed out of the competition on penalties at Goodison Park but Silva is looking at the positives from the match.

Lookman and Bernard looked to run directly at the Saints backline and showed plenty of ambition, which pleased Silva.
The manager also handed a start to 20-year-old midfielder Kieran Dowell, who had a decent game.
Both wingers have found themselves on the bench this season behind first choice players Richarlison and Theo Walcott but they were handed this opportunity to impress their manager, which they did.
Silva said:
Everyone will agree with me that the wingers did well and Kieran tried. He gave good things for us, he needs more. At the end, if you see we repeat the same 11 more or less for our next match.
