Gareth Southgate has called up Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickord for England’s friendly games against the Netherlands on March 23rd and Italy on March 27th.
Pickford is one of four goalkeepers to be selected in the squad, along side Stoke City’s Jack Butland, Joe Hart, who is on loan at West Ham from Manchester City and Burnley’s Nick Pope.
With just three goalkeeper places available in the World Cup squad, at least one of the four men will be disappointed in the summer, and they’ll all be keen to impress Southgate over the course of the next few weeks.

There was no place for Michal Keane in the squad, whilst Dominic Calvert-Lewin will join up with the U21s.
He is one of six Everton players to be selected by Aidy Boothroyd as the U21s face Romania in a friendly before a European Championships qualifier against Ukraine.
Mason Holgate, Jonjoe Kenny, Tom Davies, Kieran Dowell and Ademola Lookman will also join up with the U21s.
