Everton have been given bad news about Idrissa Gueye from his national manager, as he is reportedly carrying a bad injury, as per The Liverpool Echo.
The Senegalese midfielder played in Everton’s last game, a 2-1 win at the Bet365 Stadium against Stoke City, but since that victory, Gueye has picked up a knock.
His national manager, Aliou Cisse has sent him back to Merseyside after he got the injury and he is set to miss a number of matches for club and country.
He is going to miss two international friendlies for Senegal in this international break, against Uzbekistan at home and then away at Bosnia & Herzegovina.

However, his injury will keep him out for longer than the international break as he is set to miss big matches against Manchester City and the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park against Liverpool.
Senegalese manager Cisse has said (via The Liverpool Echo):
My squad is almost complete, but Gana had a muscle tear when he came over.
I had wanted him to be in my team, but I think he will be out for three weeks.
I wanted him to come over with the rest of his national teammates, so we could assess his injury. He was able to do so.
So the three weeks will see him miss a duo of vital home fixtures against two North-West rivals. He will be a miss for the Toffees, but it just remains to be seen how Everton manage without him.
