Sam Allardyce is expected to leave Everton later this week, according to a report from ESPN FC.
Whilst Everton’s results may have looked good to neutrals, a large section of the club’s supporters have become disenfranchised with the 63-year-old and the style of play that his side produces on a weekly basis.
According to ESPN, sources have told them that the former England manager will be relieved of his duties later this week, and the club will immediately start looking for a replacement, with Shakhtar Donetsk’s Paulo Fonseca and former Watford boss Marco Silva at the head of their shortlist.

Allardyce only took over at Everton in November after the club sacked Ronald Koeman and whilst he did guide the club away from any possible threat of relegation, the mood around the club has been dour for weeks.
After Everton’s defeat to West Ham on the final day of the campaign, Allardyce admitted that he was unsure about his future and that the recent speculation about his position had him questioning if he’d still be in charge next season and if ESPN are correct, he will have been right to have concerns.
