Romelu Lukaku is close to signing a new contract that would see him earn in excess of £100,000 a week, making his Everton’s highest ever paid player, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Since signing for the club, the Belgian has become the clubs most prized asset. At the age of 23, Lukaku has already established himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League and is being tracked by the biggest clubs in Europe.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, PSG, Juventus and more are said to be tracking the forward but should he sign a new deal at the club, Everton will be able to command as much as they would like for his signature. It was thought in the summer that a bid of £75million would see the Belgian leave, but that may now rise as the Toffees dig their heels in.
One significant point to note over this, is that Romelu clearly sees the club going places if he willing to put pen to paper. He could force a move to any of the biggest clubs in the world, yet Farhad Moshiri has made it clear where he wants the club to go as they look to break the top four in the next few years.
