Everton’s season so far has been somewhat up and down in regards to form.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side started the season really well with a good run of games, but form has been few and far between over the campaign.
One thing that has been consistent throughout the campaign, however, has been Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s form in front of goal.
The 24-year-old has scored 19 goals in 32 games across all competitions so far this season.
He has really started to flourish under Ancelotti and has certainly upped his goalscoring ability since joining the first-team in 2016.
Due to this rise in form, rumours start to grow surrounding his future at the club.
BT Sport pundit and former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand even voiced his thoughts on Calvert-Lewins future.
During his Vibe with Five podcast as cited by Evening Standard, Ferdinand felt that his former club United should sign the striker…
“I think he’d be a fantastic signing for Manchester United. It’s one out of left-field a little bit but I think he’d have a big impact. He’d get on the end of the things created by [Bruno] Fernandes, [Paul] Pogba, [Marcus] Rashford, [Mason] Greenwood, etc.”.

I can understand where Ferdinand is coming from.
Calvert-Lewin has become somewhat of a fox-in-the-box and his style of play would be perfect for United in the eyes of Ferdinand.
If United were to swoop in for the Toffees frontman, he would cost a pretty penny.
The Englishman’s current market value is at just over £40million according to Transfermarkt.
Calvert-Lewin would be a big loss for the club, so hopefully they do what they can to keep hold of him. For other sports news, fans can find out more here.
