Everton extended their winning run at Goodison Park to 8 games with a comfortable-ish win against a dogged Burnley side yet to win away this season.
The blues looked disjointed in a poor first half, in which Burnley looked the more threatening side.
Jagielka was the main culprit, with two awful back passes that could have been costly had the opposition not have been the Claret and Blue side.
Arguably the best chance of the half came from the visitors, with a Michael Keane header being cleared off the line by Ross Barkley.
At the other end, Mason Holgate was denied by a superb Tom Heaton save, whilst a Leighton Baines free kick seemed to get the lower Bullens very excited indeed.
Everton opened the scoring four minutes after the break, as Phil Jagielka’s header was scrambled just over the line thanks to a flappy Heaton.

The lead was to last just three minutes, however, as Joel Robles brought down Sam Vokes with a foul you could see coming from Bramley Moore, and the Welshman duly converted from the spot.
Everton regained the lead 20 minutes from time after a Barkley effort was deflected in by both Burnley centre-backs, eventually going down as a Ben Mee own-goal.
Romelu Lukaku sealed the game three minutes later, his emphatically standard finish rounding off an emphatically standard home victory.

Another win for the blues, taking them up to 5th in the table (for now) and 4 points away from that precious 4th spot (for now). Can they push for that Champions League place? Unlikely, but on current form, certainly not impossible.
