PSG are ready to test Everton’s resolve with a January move for star striker Romelu Lukaku, according to the Mirror.
Speaking to talkSPORT yesterday, majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri confirmed that his main summer objectives were to keep Lukaku, Ross Barkley and John Stones at Goodison Park.
“I did what I could to keep Romelu and Stones. The three big stars were Stones, Barkley and Rom. Martinez promised Stones he could go in the summer.”
We know that Stones was promised a summer exit by Roberto Martinez, but the sale of Lukaku was not sanctioned and we can expect the same approach to be taken when the January transfer window opens up.

The Belgian striker is Everton’s top scorer so far this season with seven goals in 10 Premier League outings and has attracted interest from the likes of PSG, Bayern Munich and former club Chelsea in recent months.
In an interview with French TV, Lukaku remained coy on a possible move from Everton, stating his agent doesn’t bother him unless there’s a tangible offer on the table, but he is aware there’s interest in him.
“[My agent] never tells me anything. As long as there is nothing, black and white and on paper, he will not bother me with it and I respect that.
“That is his way of working. I know they [interested clubs] are there though.”
If Everton are still in the thick of the European race come January, you can categorically rule out a sale of the 23-year-old.
