Everton have announced that Sam Allardyce is set to become the club’s new manager, replacing Ronald Koeman who was sacked earlier this season.
The 63-year-old’s first task is to get Everton clear of relegation trouble and to do that, he’s likely to want to dip into the transfer market in January.
With not too much time to do a lot of in-depth scouting on targets, it stands to reason that Allardyce might look to bring in some players he knows well and has worked with in the past.
