Everton striker Henry Onyekuru has suffered a serious knee injury.
The Nigerian forward is currently on loan at RSC Anderlecht in Belgium as he looks to develop himself, but has been set back by a blow to his knee.
Anderlecht took on Eupen, Onyekuru’s old club, on Friday night and the young striker picked up a long-term injury. Although it only appeared to be a knock at first, the Belgian side’s manager has raised concerns that Onyekuru is looking at around six months on the sidelines.

As quoted by the BBC, Anderlecht manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck told the press:
He could be out for as long as six months.
Onyekuru had been in decent form for Anderlecht despite failing to convince in recent outings, so this will undoubtedly come as a blow to him with the World Cup taking place in the summer.
Whether or not Onyekuru will return to Merseyside to recover from this injury remains to be seen.
