Oumar Niasse has opened up about a deal that would’ve seen him leave Goodison Park for Crystal Palace on transfer deadline day, as per a report from the Croydon Advertiser.
Ronald Koeman was prepared to send Niasse, who was on loan at Hull City for the back end of last season, on loan to Crystal Palace.
He travelled down to London to complete the move and was there alongside at the time Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.
Niasse did not say why the deal didn’t go through, however, Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has blamed agent’s fees.
Just one hour before the window closed I didn’t sign. They know why, I know why, I’m not going to go deep on that.

Since deadline day, the Senegalese striker has fought his way back into the team, scoring on his first appearance this season against Sunderland and two in his first league appearance against Bournemouth.
He has since scored two goals in six appearances, five of which he has either been substituted on or off, netting against Arsenal in Koeman’s last game and the first of the three comeback goals against Watford.
The Toffees travel to Selhurst Park to face Palace for a 3:00 kick off this Saturday. The 27-year-old forward is expecting a tough game against Roy Hodgson’s men.
I’m feeling thankful and happy to go back to Everton. Now it is a different challenge, we are not in a good position. They are worse but it is going to be a difficult game.
Niasse will fight for a starting place in David Unsworth’s XI against the club he could’ve been playing for. He is a proven goalscorer and could be the difference maker in this match.
