Newcastle United are thought to be keen on Everton duo Yannick Bolasie and James McCarthy – but should the Toffees sell?
According to 90min, cited by the Burnley Express, Steve Bruce will target the pair if he takes over at St James’ Park this summer.
The duo have struggled for game time at Goodison Park in recent years, so a permanent move away from Merseyside for both Bolasie and McCarthy could be best for all involved.

Bolasie’s last Everton appearance came back in 2018, with the DR Congo international spending last season on loan at Aston Villa and Anderlecht.
Meanwhile, Irish midfielder McCarthy has made just seven first-team appearances in the last two seasons after suffering a horrific double leg break last January.
The duo don’t appear to be in Marco Silva’s first-team plans for the upcoming campaign, so moving the out of favour pair on from the club would allow both internationals to have another shot at Premier League football with the Magpies.
It would also bring in further funds for the Toffees to strengthen, with a centre-back and a striker Silva’s top priorities ahead of the new season.
The Toffees could well bring in an eight-figure sum in a double deal, which would be seen as a good piece of business by most Everton fans and one that should be accepted by the club if placed in front of them.
