Farhad Moshiri, the man who recently invested in Everton, wants the club to make a splash in the transfer window in order to kick off a new era for the Merseyside club.
As reported by Phil Kirkbride of the Liverpool Echo, Everton’s majority shareholder wants to bring in a big name that makes the rest of the Premier League sit up and take notice.
The Blues have already proven with the capture of Ronald Koeman that they mean business but they are looking to do the same with player arrivals too.

Whilst Everton can’t offer European football, Moshiri is happy for the club to increase the wage bill in order to attract big name players and he is reportedly giving Koeman £100million to spend in the transfer market.
Moshiri has apparently taken note of the impact that the new owners had at Manchester City back in 2008. They signed some big name players ahead of the so-called ‘bigger’ sides in the league, and Everton will now look to do the same.
