Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen has vowed to fight for his future on Merseyside.
Klaassen was frozen out for the large majority of his first season in English football, with all of Ronald Koeman, David Unsworth and Sam Allardyce limiting his opportunities to impress.
He joined for a fee in the region of £25 million last summer in a deal from Ajax, but Klaassen is yet to get to grips with life at Goodison Park.
Despite this, though, the Netherlands international is not yet willing to call time on his Everton career. Klaassen, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, has insisted that he is ready to fight for his place.

My overall experience at Everton has been good… the club is excellent and the people are very nice. It is an ambitious club and I 100 per cent enjoy being here. I feel at home and am determined to play more for the team.
The attacking midfielder will be hopeful of more first-team opportunities next season as he bids to receive a fresh start under Everton’s new manager, who has not yet been named.
You have to be ready as soon as you are needed. It is hard to be patient but if you keep working it will come. You have to work hard and try to show yourself when you get a chance.
Klaassen was held in high esteem in his homeland during his spell with Ajax and will be desperate to rediscover his form in the coming months.
