In the past few weeks, Everton have been linked with a plethora of players to become the club’s first marquee signing of the new era, and Ronald Koeman’s go to midfield enforcer.
Axel Witsel, William Carvalho and Kevin Strootman are just some of the names that have been suggested to take up the defensive midfield mantle in Koeman’s inaugural Everton campaign.
