Who’d have thought it… Everton are coming into a bit of form. Eight Premier League games without defeat, five clean sheets and 19 goals have lifted the Toffees into sole custody of seventh place and it is hard to envision Everton relinquishing their grasp on that spot in the coming months. Write them off at your own peril.
Ronald Koeman took some time to adjust to life at Goodison Park, but the Dutchman will be very happy with Everton’s progress since the busy festive period. Since losing to Liverpool in December, the Toffees have raised their game and many believe that Everton could push on to challenge the monopoly of elite clubs at the top of the Premier League table.

On current form, it is difficult to back against Everton in the race for the European spots. A push for the top four is very unlikely given the margin that the Toffees have to claw back but a top six finish is certainly plausible. With Romelu Lukaku wreaking havoc up front, the likes of Ross Barkley and 18-year-old Tom Davies have been able to control the midfield battle.

As of February 18th, the Toffees are priced at 9/1 to finish in the top six – although some fans will think this is out of reach. You can take advantage of the bet365 free bet offer if you fancy Everton to push England’s elite sides close but aren’t sure you want to risk your own money on the wager. Koeman’s side certainly have the potential to blossom into a top side; especially if the club act wisely in the summer.
Rumours over Koeman’s future have started to surface and links with Barcelona will flatter the Toffees boss but he has stated his commitment to Everton Football Club. As a former player, a return to Camp Nou would certainly appeal to his longer term thinking but he has already stated how happy he is at Goodison Park right now.
The trip to Dubai could turn out crucial if Everton manage to sneak into the top six before the end of the campaign. Koeman’s men are in fantastic form right now and fans will be hoping that they can continue to inspire confidence and challenge the best teams in the Premier League. Then and only then will Everton potentially break into the elite group of teams in the country.
