Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino is open to making a move to Everton and ‘likes’ the club, according to a report on Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian news outlet also claims that the 28-year-old has said ‘yes’ to joining the Toffees this month.
Premier League rivals Manchester United are also interested in signing Vecino and recently had a loan offer for the midfielder turned down by Inter.
Everton have made formal contact with the Serie A club and have also submitted an ‘important offer’ for the player.
The report confirms that Everton made an offer to sign Vecino on a permanent basis, with Inter asking for £20m.

Vecino seems to be keen on making the move to Goodison Park so we feel that the club should pay the £20m that Inter are asking for.
Why? Because Vecino sounds like he actually wants to play for the club and that’s something that is hard to find.
Uruguay international Vecino has played 14 Serie A games this season, ten coming from a starting position (WhoScored), which proves that he is reliable and also match fit, meaning he won’t need time to get up to speed at Everton.
The move is highly dependent on whether Inter can secure a replacement so the Toffees need to hope that Antonio Conte can secure a midfielder before the transfer window slams shut.
