Everton have clearly identified Watford boss Marco Silva as their first choice option to take over as manager.
The Toffees have reportedly had an offer worth up to £10 million turned down by Watford as they aim to replace Ronald Koeman with the impressive 40-year-old.
Silva was quizzed about the links with Everton in a press conference recently and was clearly coy, unwilling to commit his future to Watford.
As quoted by the Hertfordshire Mercury, Silva said:
I do my job normally, like the first day I came here. I don’t want to talk really about Everton. I understand everyone wants to talk about this situation but Everton is not the club where I work. I can tell you it is a big club, nothing more.

Along with this, reports in Portugal (via Sport Witness) have circulated on Friday, indicating that Silva is indeed enthused by the prospect of taking over at Goodison Park.
It’s claimed by A Bola that Everton’s proposed deal with Watford is not yet dead and there remains a chance of an agreement being reached between the two clubs.
The Hornets only appointed Silva in the summer and he has since impressed at the London club.
Everton’s search for a manager continues, but Silva appears to be a priority.
