Manchester City will lodge a £50million bid for Everton defender John Stones, according to the Express.
The Englishman is thought to be forcing through a move to the mega-rich club with Pep Guardiola spearheading the Citizen’s title hopes. With the signings of Nolito and İlkay Gündoğan, John will have had his head turned, with the chance to potentially challenge for silverware next season

Should Stones choose to leave Everton, he would have to compete for a starting place with Vincent Kompany and Nicolás Otamendi. The Toffees would certainly be short on defenders with Phil Jagielka and Ramiro Funes Mori the only recognisable centre-backs. Leo Lacroix has been earmarked as a replacement for the defender.
New majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has promised Ronald Koeman that all funds raised from player sales would be pumped back into the club, and should a deal go through, the Dutchman would certainly have his transfer kitty boosted.
Everton rejected several offers from Chelsea last season, even having to reject a transfer request from the youngster.
