Everton expect to have Lucas Digne available for selection for their clash with Manchester United on Sunday.
The Frenchman was forced off in the latter stages of Everton’s 3-1 win over Chelsea last Saturday with a groin issue, meaning he had to be replaced by Leighton Baines.
However, the issue was revealed not to be too serious and as such, Digne resumed training on Friday and as such, he’s expected to feature at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
The left-back, who was voted as Everton Players’ Player of the Season last year, has been one of the standout players at the club since his arrival from Barcelona and Duncan Ferguson, who’ll be in charge of the Blues once again this weekend, will be delighted to have the 26-year-old available for selection.

With Everton set to come up against the dynamic forward that Man United have, Digne’s presence on the pitch will be vital.
With all due respect to Baines, this isn’t the game that Evertonians would be thrilled to see him playing in as United’s pace would be very tough for him to handle.
Hopefully, Digne has no ill-effects after training and he’ll be ready to face United.
