New Everton signing Lucas Digne has spoken out about the ‘controversy’ of a supposed Liverpool tattoo.
The £20million signing from Barcelona was the subject of mockery from fans of rival team Liverpool following his switch to Goodison Park, with fans finding previous photos that show Digne sporting a tattoo across his chest which reads, ‘I Never Walk Alone’.

Liverpool fans had been quick to suggest the quote is linked to their infamous anthem ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, but Digne moved to dispel those rumours in a live press conference today, also claiming to have rejected Liverpool in the past.
Speaking about the origin of his tattoo, Digne said:
When I was three or four years old, I went for my first day at school and my parents gave me a necklace with these words.
Maybe Liverpool fans are so angry against me because I said two times no to Liverpool. I’m blue.
