Everton forward Ademola Lookman will opt to represent Nigeria at a senior international level instead of England, according to claims from Pulse Sports.
The Nigerian news outlet has claimed that Lookman will switch his allegiances to the African country, who he is eligible to represent due to his parents’ nationalities.
Lookman has been a key figure in England’s youth setups in recent times and in the ongoing international break, has been working within the country’s Under-21 setup.
However, according to Pulse’s sources, the 20-year-old striker will soon reveal that he has committed his future at a senior international level to Nigeria.

Lookman’s future at club level came under intense scrutiny throughout the recently-concluded summer transfer window. The young forward was eyed by RB Leipzig in a big-money move but Everton resisted the Bundesliga side’s advances.
Earlier on this year, it’s believed that Lookman held preliminary talks with the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, but came to no further conclusion on his international future.
It seems as though Lookman’s intentions are clear now, though, with Pulse’s source revealing:
An announcement will be made soon, I’m close to his management and they have confirmed that he has made the decision.
