Media reports suggest that Aaron Lennon hopes to move to Everton permanently following an impressive loan spell with the club.
Lennon, 28, scored two goals and created one in 14 appearances for the Toffees last season, and reports say £8 million will be enough to prize the winger away from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 28-year-old has one more year to run on his current deal at White Hart Lane and the winger has said he would hold out for a move right up until the last day of the transfer window.
It is understood Stoke City are also interested in signing Lennon, but the winger has claimed he would prefer a move to Goodison Park.
Manager Roberto Martinez has said he would love to have Lennon in his squad permanently following his loan spell on Merseyside, although the Everton boss also claimed the club wouldn’t be held ransom over the player and will consider other options should Spurs price Everton out of a move for the pacy winger.
