Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare wants young English winger Demarai Gray to stay at the King Power Stadium despite strong interest in him from Premier League rivals Everton, according to Sky Sports.
Shakespeare confirmed that Leicester were yet to receive any bids for the highly-rated winger and has also told the Gray personally that he wants to keep him as he is part of the Foxes’ plans next season.

The 21-year-old has been left frustrated with a lack of playing time at Leicester but with Riyad Mahrez insisting on leaving the club, this could be Gray’s chance to step up into the starting XI on a regular basis.
“Hopefully he can get more game time. He’s a player of huge potential who is rated very highly here among the coaching staff and his own players,” said Shakespeare.
“He’s a young lad and I understand the frustrations but hopefully this season we will see him playing more.”

Gray’s demand rocketed after his performances for England at this summer’s U21 European Championships where he scored twice on the road to the semi-final and Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is reported to be a huge admirer of the player.
The youngster got his name on the scoresheet once during a tough campaign for the Foxes last season. Gray will now assess his options and should he opt for a move, Goodison Park may well be his next home for the future.
