Everton managerial target Ronald Koeman is set to stay at Southampton.
The Dutchman was believed to be the Blues’ no.1 target to replace Roberto Martinez at Goodison Park, but he now looks set to sign a new contract with the Saints.
Koeman has one year left on his current deal at the St Marys Stadium but talks have progressed after he replaced his agent, Guido Albers – who also represents Frank De Boer – with Rob Jansen.

The Mirror claim that Arsenal are also monitoring the 53-year-old and see him as potential candidate to succeed the current managerial incumbent Arsene Wenger when he finally leaves his post at the Emirates.
With Koeman seemingly all but out of the running, Everton will have to pursue other targets.
Unai Emery, Frank De Boer and Manuel Pellegrini are all believed to be on Farhad Moshiri’s wishlist, while former Toffees boss David Moyes is also under consideration.
